Still Reading... LA Candy by Lauren Conrad

When I started this book I was sure I would finish it really fast. Because it seemed like a good book. I wanted something light, something that I could read without thinking too much. So I asked my best friend if she could give me one of her Chick-Lit books.
I normaly do not read Chick-Lit.
Now I remember why.

Do not get me wrong, I'm not saying that this book is bad or badly written or that I do not care about the characters. I just don't care about the things that are happening too them. I haven't gotten that far. I'm only on page 85 of 326 so maybe all the drama is yet to come. And I love drama. But I'm sure I will never make it that far.
It's just not my genre. I like heroes and battles, dragons and tragedy. I want someone to fight and I want the world to be in danger. This book is about all those things, the characters need to be strong, they need to fight, and save their own little world. It's just not as interesting for me.

Well, it is still on my Currently Reading pile and I haven't given it back, so I guess I will end up giving it another try. Hopefully I will finish it and maybe, it will suprise me and I end up loving it.

Just the use of the phrase "BFF" in a book summary makes me dislike this one. It's just not my kind of book, I guess.
