Are you already excited about the snow, the lights, the presents or are you as I already busy and stressed? I love the end of the year, not because I enjoy city centers so full, you can't take a single step without running into someone, but because I always love to plan for the year ahead of me.
And while I was thinking about my New Years Resolutions, guess which one came to my mind.
Yes, A BOOK BLOG!
During the last months, I did not only rediscover my love for reading and writing, I also started to miss the community and chance for exchange book blogging gifted me with. So here I am again, hoping you are as excited as I am about this new chapter.
Let's start with a Wrap Up! What bookish things happened to me this week? (except for dusting of this little blog here)
1. Nanowrimo came to an end and I won. Yes, I CANNOT BELIEVE IT EITHER. It has been an amazing experience and though it was my third time participating in this event it was my first time actually hitting that 50.000 words goal. I will not talk a lot about my writing and my projects on this blog, since I do wish for it to be more focused on my reading. But if you want to hear more about my NANO experience, be so kind and tell me in the comments below.
2. The Glass Spare by Lauren DeStefano
This book fell into my hands because it was featured in the OwlCrate November box. The cover was beautiful, the story sounded interesting, and when I was in a writing slump last week I decided to start reading it. AND I LOVED IT. I was instantly hooked, from the first page, and the book did not let go of me ever since. (It's currently 272 days till book two hits shelves, and yes I am counting) I am working on writing my reviews (one with and one without spoilers), so stay tuned for that!
3. Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore
Yet another OwlCrate pick, this one intrigued me because of the interesting setting and concept of magic. I haven't gotten too far, but I am already looking forward to reading more of this story.
I need to come up with a sign off label, but until then see you later, alligators.
